Our Journey
Alaina and Karen met professionally over 15 years ago. Their holistic approach, unique perspective and integrative mindset made them the best of "clinical partners". Their quirky senses of humor and enjoyment of movies quotes helped too! 
     Professionally, Alaina's and Karen's skills allowed them to flourish in traditional physical therapy settings, helping treat, athletes, civil servants, servicemembers and more who needed help with orthopedic injuries, neurologic conditions, chronic pain. However, they both consistently sought to do more for their patients. 
     Through further education, certifications and mentorship opportunities, Alaina and Karen added valuable tools to their rehabilitation "Tool Box". Stymied by the constraints of traditional physical therapy environment, Alaina and Karen knew that their skills could have a profound impact on clients.  
     Thus, Alaina founded Salutaris Physical Therapy in 2017 and Karen, Degrees of Freedom in 2023. Alaina and Karen joined together in October 2023 to create Salutaris Functional Rehabilitation and Integrative Health (FRIH).
     The “Salutaris Experience” is hardly adequate to describe how Alaina and Karen guide and partner with their clientele throughout their Health Journey.
